BJD suspends Ramchandra Hansda arrested in Odisha Chitfund scam

The Biju Janata Dal suspended Ramchandra Hansda, one of its MPs, after he was arrested for his involvement in the multi-crore chitfund scam in Odisha. Earlier in the day, Hansda was arrested by CBI officials. On his arrest, the BJD had said that the party was not providing any protection nor shielding any tainted leader involved in the ponzi activities.
