Congress leader VC Shukla dead, crtically injured in Naxal attack

Congress leader Vidya Charan Shukla passes away. The condition of the senior Congress leader, who was admitted to Medanta Hospital at Gurgaon, was critical. Shukla was injured in the Maoist attack on May 25 sustaining three bullets in his body.

According to the doctors at Medanta, Shukla was unable to breathe easily and has been kept on ventilator. His kidneys have stopped functioning and he was undergoing dialysis. Shukla has already undergone two surgeries after which he showed signs of improvement and remained stable for more than a week.
