Coal-gate: FIR against Cong MP Navin Jindal for 'cheating, conspiracy'

An FIR has been registered against Congress MP Naveen Jindal and his company Jindal Steel and Power for allegedly misrepresenting crucial information to land valuable coal fields from the government. "Coal-Gate" is being investigated by the country's premier investigating agency, the CBI.Jindal has in the past denied allegations of wrong doing. The FIR against his company lists cheating and conspiracy as charges. Searches are underway in 19 places including the Jindal residence in New Delhi and his offices in Delhi, Hyderabad and Kolkata. The FIR also names former Coal MoS Dasari Narayana Rao. -- NDTV
