BJP charts truce: Will allow PM candidate to be Advani's choice

The BJP Parliamentary Board may be called to a meeting soon to discuss the crisis in the wake of the LK Advani's resignation and address the issues he has raised.

The BJP is likely to issue a statement from Advani's residence shortly, reports CNN IBN.

BJP senior leaders may state that the PM candidate will not be decided without Advani's consent, which is what Advani has always insisted upon. Advani or Rajnath Singh may read out a statement saying that since the BJP Parliamentary Board has rejected his resignation, he would stand by it.

Sushma Swaraj and Rajnath Singh have promised Advani that the choice of PM candidate will be his.
