Major Laishram Jyotin Singh:
Singh was a doctor who was serving with the Indian mission in Afghanistan. He died while thwarting the terror attack on the Indian embassy at Kabul. Singh was awarded an Ashok Chakra.

Superintendent of Police, Vinod Kumar Choubey: Choubey led a rescue party in Rajnandgaon, where he laid down his life while trying to beat back a Naxal attack on a police outpost in Madanwara. Choubey was awarded a Kirti Chakra.

Captain Davinder Singh Jass: Jass laid down his life during an operation against terrorists in Kashmir, where he saved the lives of two of his comrades and killed a terrorist in hand to hand combat. Jass was awarded a Kirti Chakra.
