The Supreme Court on Saturday issued a notice to former Gujarat minister Amit Shah on Central Bureau of Investigation's plea seeking cancellation of his bail.

The apex court directed Shah not to stay in Gujarat till November 15 when CBI's plea will be taken up for hearing. SC has asked Shah to leave Gujarat by Sunday morning.

Earlier, CBI filed a petition in the Supreme Court seeking cancellation of the bail granted by the Gujarat high court to Shah and sought an urgent hearing.

The petition was filed in the deputy registrar's office at nearly 10.30 pm on Friday night after the top brass of the premier investigating agency decided to move the apex court for cancellation of the bail.

Senior lawyer KTS Tulsi, who appeared for the CBI in the high court, accompanied CBI officials when the petition was filed.

The Gujarat high court had on Friday granted Shah bail, three months after he was arrested in connection with the Sohrabuddin Sheikh fake encounter case.
