Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh leader Indresh Kumar, whose name figures in the ATS charge sheet, claimed the case against him was "totally fabricated and a political conspiracy", but the Rajasthan chief minister rejected the charge.

"When ATS has already filed the charge sheet in the said case, why are AICC general secretary Digvijay Singh, Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot, and Home Minister Shanti Dhariwal giving statements to the media against me, almost every day", Kumar, who was in Maharashtra's Jalgaon said.

"Why do they (Congress ministers, leaders) hesitate to go to the court. Let them go to the court with the evidence as mentioned in the charge sheet, we will also fight the case in the court," he challenged.

When asked whether he held a secret meeting at the Gujarati Samaj guest house under fake name for three days in 2005 prior to Ajmer blast in 2007, and whether he masterminded the blast in mosques and the Ajmer dargah as alleged in the ATS charge sheet, the RSS leader said, "To all such questions, I would say it is a totally fabricated story and political conspiracy to malign me, and tarnish my political and social career."

Refuting reports that his government was interfering in the Ajmer blast case, Gehlot said there was no pressure on the ATS. "The charge sheet has already been filed in the court, how can there be any interference or pressure on the ATS?" he asked. Dhariwal had yesterday claimed that Kumar provided "guidelines" on how to go about carrying out the explosion. "He (Indresh Kumar) had given the guidelines. Who will do it? Who will make the bomb, who will trigger it, who will provide the money and mobile and who will handle the media," Dhariwal had said.
