26/11 victim's mother accuses villagers of fraud

Sajida Khatoon, the helpless mother of Mohammed Mokhtar, who was killed in Mumbai 26/11 terror attack, has filed a complaint case in the Sheikhpura district court in Bihar accusing two of her villagers of cheating of compensation amount, a police official said on Wednesday.

 

Khatoon has filed a case in the court on Tuesday against two villagers Mokhtar Alam and Mohammed Ajmal of cheating her of the compensation to be provided.

 

Mohammed Mokhtar was shot dead at CST in Mumbai by terrorists.He was one of the nine people from Bihar killed in terror attacks in Mumbai. In her complaint, Khatoon said that two villagers obtained her thumb impression on relevent documents by threatening her and received the government compensation of Rs 16 lakh. She also accused Mokhtar Alam of managing a railway job. The matter came to light after she sought information under the RTI from railway authorities.

 

Khatoon has informed the court that the two villagers got all the compensation fraudulently.
