Expelled Samajwadi Party leader and president of newly floated Rastriya Lok Manch (RLM) Amar Singh on Sunday claimed that he was facing threat to his life from SP supremo Mulayam Singh Yadav and Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Mayawati.

"I have life threat from both Mayawati and Mulayam Singh Yadav," Singh told reporters in Lucknow after inaugurating his new party office.

On the SP chief reportedly writing a letter to the Centre to cut down his security, Singh said, "It's a matter of joy for me that Yadav is neither home minister nor prime minister."

"Mulayam himself has threat from Mayawati, and I have threat from both of them," he alleged.

Meanwhile, Singh also raised the demand of separate Purvanchal state and said he would launch 400-km 'padyatra' from Allahabad to Gorakhpur to press the demand.

"The eastern UP should be declared separate Purvanchal state. Chief Minister Mayawati should get a proposal of separate state passed in the House and send it to the Centre", the RLM chief said, adding "mere writing a letter to the prime minister (by Mayawati) would not serve the purpose."

Contrary to SP's stance against English and computer, Singh said he would promote both in villages and would soon be appointing the teachers in 27 districts.

"English and computer are must for growth of children and I will promote them," he said.
