The Border Security Force has apprehended a Pakistani intruder near Dantiwada village on the international border in Banaskantha district in Palanpur, Gujarat, the police said on Monday.

Sabir Ahmed Usman, 30-year-old native of Tirupwar in Badina Taluka of Sindh province of Pakistan, was nabbed by the BSF at Dantiwada and handed over to the Mavasari police on Sunday evening, they said.

"Sabir was trying to cross the border at pillar No 941 in the Indian territory when he was nabbed by the security officials on duty," District Superintendent of Police, Banaskantha, Harikrishna Patel said.

"The joint interrogation of the Pakistani national was on and the motive of his crossing the border can be known after the interrogation is over," Patel added.
