The Bengaluru police will have to pull out a couple of new tricks if they have to carry forward the interrogation of Abdul Nasser Madani, who has been arrested in connection with the Bengaluru serial blasts case. Sources in the team which is interrogating him told rediff.com that Madani has consistently denied having any knowledge of the blasts.

The police have been interrogating him for two days in a row now and till date, he has not revealed any information. All Madani has been saying that he had no knowledge of the blasts and was in no way connected to that incident.

The police have built a case against Madani based on the confession of T Nasir, the main accused in the case. The entire chargesheet depends on Nasir's statement. The Bengaluru police said that they would now put Nasir, Madani and another accused, Sarfaraz Nawaz in the same room and cross interrogate them. Since Nasir gave them the lead on Madani, it would be essential to put them face to face and interrogate them, the source said.

The police team had taken Madani to Coorg on Monday, where Nasir claimed to have met him during the planning stages. The Bengaluru police said that this is a routine exercise to conduct a spot mahzar (identification of place) and once this formality is complete they would bring him back and continue the interrogation.
