The Praja Rajyam on Wednesday asked the Andhra Pradesh government to conduct a probe into the allegations of irregularities against a blood bank run by party chief Chiranjeevi.

Chiranjeevi's brother-in-law and film producer Allu Aravind has submitted a memorandum to Chief Minister K Rosaiah requesting for the probe.

Telugu actor-couple Rajasekhar and Jeevita, known detractors of Chiranjeevi, had alleged that the Praja Rajyam president was "selling off blood donated by his fans to the blood bank run by him".

Asserting that lakhs of fans of Chiranjeevi were hurt by the allegation made by the actor-couple, Aravind asked the government to conduct a probe to put to rest all such allegations.

Rajasekhar and Jeevita wondered what moral right does he have to talk about the alleged corruption of Kadapa MP Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy when he himself faced allegations.

The allegations of "selling off blood" have been made against Chiranjeevi ever since he made his entry into politics.
Chiranjeevi and his partymen have been dismissing the allegations.
