India pays homage to victims of Bhopal gas tragedy

As 2009 marks the 25th anniversary of world's worst industrial disaster in Bhopal, India plans to construct a memorial for the victims of the tragedy,Union Environment Minister Jairam Ramesh said on Saturday.

After years of controversy about clearing the waste at the plant, Ramesh also said that the government was planning to clear it by early next year.
