E-gov centre set up
The centre will identify e-governance applications that can be implemented to provide improved services to citizens and help the public administration in improving planning, monitoring and other processes.

It will demonstrate the feasibility of implementing such applications by specifying broad architecture, detailed design and creating prototype application software on platforms available with it.

The centre will also undertake consultancy assignments to enable government and other organisations in implementing electronic governance projects in the field. It will conduct workshops for the government departments and officers to discuss and disseminate use of information technology in e-governance.
