Airtel expands 'Smart Roam' service

Email this story to a friend. Airtel today announced the expansion of 'Smart Roam' international services to 58 networks all over the world.

Following a bilateral agreement with leading Taiwanese cellular service operator Mobital, Airtel becomes the first and the largest international roaming service provider in the country, a company statement claimed.

With this tie-up coming into effect, Airtel also becomes the first cellular operator in the country to offer such wide coverage with 75 domestic and international networks across the world.

'Smart Roam' is available in over 36 countries worldwide, including France, Britain, Switzerland, Hong Kong, Singapore, Taiwan, the Netherlands, Australia, Turkey, Spain, Poland, South Africa, Italy and Austria.

With no roaming monthly rentals, Airtel subscribers will pay only for calls received and made while they roam, wherever they roam.
