India's first human resource Webzine launched

Email this story to a friend. Human resource solutions company Feedback Reach has set up an online magazine, which it claims, is the 'first complete HR Webzine'.

The fortnightly Webzine, Reach-Us, offers individuals and HR professionals a platform to discuss issues related to human resource management.

Feedback Reach Managing Director Rumjhum Chatterjee claims, "Reach-Us is a first of its kind effort. It is the only Webzine to cover the entire gamut of HR information needs, thereby addressing the needs of a cross-section of audiences. It is an extension of our philosophy to work in partnership with people and help them deal with the challenges by structuring innovative HR solutions."

Feedback Reach is a member of the Feedback Ventures Group, which is an integrated infrastructure solutions company.

Feedback Reach provides HR solutions to companies like Apollo Tyres, Samtel, Oracle, World Bank, Novartis and Bharti Telecom.

Reach-Us is split into seven sections:

Main line: A features section that also includes a discussion group and a chat forum on HR and management.

Guide line: A career counselling platform that has a guest counsellor answering queries on career options.

Test line: A quiz forum.

Top line: A tracker of executive movements across different industry sectors.

Date line: An almanac of key events and programmes relating to HR and management.

A line: The job classifieds.

Search line: A resume bank.

The first issue that was uploaded two days ago features articles ranging on topics from leadership qualities to importance of emotional intelligence.

At the launch of the Webzine, chief guest Indira J Parikh, member, board of directors, Feedback Reach, elaborated: "As organisations learn to cope with the uncertainties of the future the quality of human resource more than anything else will determine their ability to survive and prosper. Platforms such as the one created by Reach-Us will become important as organisations and communities seek to learn from a collective pool of knowledge rather than live in isolation."

The first issue of Reach-Us has an online poll on whether for effective readership emotional intelligence is more important than technical skills.

The site has career counselling by Dr Punam Sahgal, professor of organisation behaviour, Management Development Institute, Gurgaon, and a report on print journalism as a career option.
