HP to spend $1 m on marketing in India

Email this story to a friend. Hewlett-Packard today announced it would spend $1 million in its aggressive plan to market information storage products in India.

The marketing budget would be spent over the next two years.

A Hewlett-Packard India statement said the company wants to "dominate the storage market" in the country.

The company has unveiled new information storage products including CD writer M820 targeted at mobile professionals using laptops SureStore DLT 80 tape backup drive for high-end IT environments and DVD writer 3100 which provides ability to create, share, store and access content-rich documents.

The information storage market is expanding rapidly in India because there is an increasing awareness among corporations that data is a strategic business asset.
