Compaq announces four laptop models

Email this story to a friend. Compaq India today unveiled four models of their 'Armada' notebook computers, targeting the Indian corporate executive segment.

Announcing the launch Compaq India Director, Products, Kapil Jain said the portable comes in three models - 'Armada M 300', 'Armada M 700' and E 700 with Pentium II processors.

The portable PCs have been priced at Rs 140,000, Rs 186,000 and Rs 204,000 respectively.

Thandava Murthy, country manager, services, said to meet the growing demand of after sales service, Compaq has introduced a new value added pre-packed service that enhanced the warranty attributes of the Armada range of notebooks.

The new package would come into operation in Bombay and Bangalore from September 1.

Under this package, any portable PC owner could get his PC repaired within two days anywhere in the country. If the company fails to do this a standby PC would be offered to the customer, he explained.
