TCS and Tata IBM in partnership

Under the arrangement, TCS and Tata IBM would leverage their respective products, marketing and channel strengths to specifically service the needs of this vast and growing market.

Launched in 1991, E-X, in a short span of six years, has currently a user base of more than 70,000 users.

E-X Next Generation is the latest offering from TCS and is designed to address the needs of users, starting from single-user small businesses to multi-user large enterprises.

E-X Ngn is specially designed for exploiting popular platforms like Windows 95/NT, and incorporates true 32-bit technology.

E-X Ngn comes ready with 32 business models pre-configured to suit various businesses like trading, manufacturing, health care, etc, and therefore, lets you get started in less than 15 minutes time.

E-X Ngn supports OLE 2, allowing seamless integration with other OLE 2 compliant software packages, thus making E-X Ngn a truly open platform for building comprehensive business solutions.

Created in consultation with chartered accountants, E-X Ngn comes with a set of 72 exhaustive reports to meet your statutory and business needs. The document designer, a unique feature of E-X Ngn, helps create a document in any form to see, with a choice of fonts, style, colour, etc.

The offering to the Indian market would be a Y2K-compliant bundle, comprising an IBM PC with 32 MB RAM and E-X Next Generation on Windows 95 or Windows 98 at a very attractive price.

This offer will be available exclusive through the IBM channel, across the country. A customer can also avail of installation help and half a day's familiarisation from the nearest TCS channel partner, through a service coupon packaged with this bundle.

TCS will also extend its national customer support facility and helpdesk to all IBM channel partners and common customers.
