IBM Global in pact with SSA India

SSA India Private Limited, a wholly owned subsidiary of System Software Associates Inc, has signed IBM Global Services to be the implementation partner for their ERP product line, 'Business Planning and Control System Client/Server'.

He adds "This alliance combines the strengths of each organisation and simplifies the way we do business because customers have a central point of contact for application, implementation and business consulting services."

SSA is one of the leading providers of enterprise resource planning solutions and is ranked number three in the worldwide ERP market for the industrial sector.

Its annual revenues exceed $430 million. Based in Chicago, SSA operates in worldwide locations and has set up the Indian subsidiary to rapidly expand in the exploding ERP market in India.

SSA’s latest product, BPCS Client/Server Version 6, an enterprise resource planning solution for medium to large sized businesses, has over 8,500 clients in over 25,000 sites in 71 countries.

The product, based on message and object-oriented technology, has functionality for every industrial sector company, it is claimed. It is year 2000 compliant and has Internet capabilities.

SSA India currently has over 30 clients who have successfully implemented BPCS products in over 50 sites.

IBM Global Services India offers the entire range of IT services from IBM, including networking services, outsourcing, education systems, integration, consulting, software development and hardware development and hardware design. IBM Global Services is a joint venture of IBM Corporation, Tata Industries Limited and Tata IBM.
