consultants specialising in PeopleSoft, Australia.

IGI will depute professionals to PeopleSoft's product development and R&D facilities. It will also help man the company's 'global alliance programme'.

"Intrak will hire and equip candidates with resources. They would also be awarded certificates from PeopleSoft universities. These professionals will then work on PeopleSoft software at the company's centres,'' Kapoor explained.

He warned against scores of Indian institutes claiming to be authorised training centres of PeopleSoft and said that Intrak would crack down on them.

"In Hyderabad alone, there are about 60 institutes offering courses based on pirated software. They are not authorised. They are neither trained nor equipped to train students. Yet they even offer placements. A campaign to educate people on the need to train at the authorised training centres will soon be put in place,'' Kapoor assured.

He gave the example of DVR Cyber Infotech Systems. It is an institute in Hyderabad whaich had released an advertisement in a local daily, claiming that it was the only consulting service alliance partner of PeopleSoft in India.

Later, the institute released an errata saying that it is an independent organisation. Even in Bangalore, seven of the ten institutes claiming to be trainers in PeopleSoft products have closed shop fearing legal action against them.

Complete Business Solutions India, which recently forged an alliance with PeopleSoft, is the other authorised PeopleSoft alliance partner engaged in educating and training Indian IT professionals in PeopleSoft products.

Intrak selects candidates, trains them at facilities in Singapore, Sydney and New Zealand and places them in PeopleSoft's ERP applications wherever required.
