CBSI, PeopleSoft tie up for Indian ops

Email this story to a friend. Complete Business Solutions Inc and PeopleSoft Inc, both of the US, have tied up to market software in India.

CBSI will be marketing PeopleSoft's enterprisewide resource planning products in India as part of their "global alliance programme". Many CBSI consultants are trained in PeopleSoft products and have even worked on projects using the software. CBSI will also be helping company mesh PeopleSoft software into their existing set-up.

This alliance also assures Indian companies of local access to PeopleSoft resources.

CBSI has set up PeopleSoft Excellence Centres in Hyderabad and California. The California centre focuses on tracking trends in technology and business solutions that could be integrated with the ERP solutions. The Hyderabad centre plans to focus on serving the Indian market place.

Meanwhile, PeopleSoft is also moving to have action against training institutes claiming they are authorised by it to train people in the use of their software. The company is taking up the matter with the National Association of Software and Service Companies.
