CITIL ties up with Microsoft

Email this story to a friend. Citicorp Information Technology Industries, an affiliate of Citicorp, has announced that it has selected Microsoft Windows NT operating system and the Microsoft BackOffice family as development platforms for its financial products.

Citicorp Information Technology Industries, or CITIL, develops software solutions for the financial industry.

"At present we have many software solutions on the Microsoft platform. We found that Windows NT is increasingly gaining market share in the office environment so we decided to enter a business partnership with Microsoft,'' Ravishankar, CEO, CITIL, has said.

He hopes that with this alliance, CITIL will be an early adopter of Microsoft's leading edge products. CITIL will absorb these into its existing solutions.

Sanjay Mirchandani, managing director, Microsoft India, has said that both companies will jointly address the financial segment.

He said that the business alliance was for a global marketing alliance.
