LTITL has big plans

Larsen and Toubro Information Technology Ltd is aiming to almost double its growth during 1998-99, pushing turnover to Rs 1.62 billion from the Rs 870 million in 1997-98.

LTITL is also investing about Rs 370 million to expand its four development centres, in Madras, Bombay, New Bombay and Pune.

exports and the rest from development work done for L&T. The company, which began in 1987 as an inhouse division of L&T, branched off on its own last year.

The company has experience in legacy systems maintenance and reengineering, client-server, Y2K, ERP and CAD/CAM solutions.

It has a staff strength of 1,000 employees now, a figure it plans to double by the end of the century.
