TCS bags deal to market Java products

Tata Consultancy Services has tied up with the US-based Keylabs to provide training in Java and to market Java products.

TCS is setting up a few Java Excellence Centres with experts providing training in Java foundation, Internet solutions, enterprise solutions, CORBA and RMI, and Java Beans. The centres will also provide tools like Borland's JBuilder, IBM's Visual Age for Java, IBM Web Runner toolkit, Javastudio and ORB Rom Orbix and Visigenic.

As a result of the alliance with Keylabs, TCS will be able to co-market its products with Sun Microsystems and also get the rights to use the 100 per cent pure Java logo.

The partnership will also give the Indian software company, the information wing of the Tata group, deeper market penetration, streamlined software development and delivery.
