6.0 quake strikes Nicobar, no tsunami warning

Earthquake measuring 6.0 on the Richter scale strikes Nicobar Islands region, says the IMD. The Indian Tsunami Warning center says there is no threat of a tsunami. The earthquake struck in the Nicobar region under the sea near Cambbell Bay at 8.23 am. Andaman and Nicobar islands are prone to big earthquakes.
