Farhan Akhtar at anti-citizenship law protest in Mumbai

As he had indicated in his tweet on Wednesday, actor-director Farhan Akhtar made his way to August Kranti Maidan in south Mumbai to participate in the protest against the Citizenship Amendment Act.

Sitting at the protest site, he said, "To raise your voice against something is our democratic right, people are raising their voices and I'm of view that there seems to be a certain amount of discrimination in what is happening."

On Wednesday, Farhan taking to Twitter wrote, "See you on the 19th at August Kranti Maidan, Mumbai. The time to protest on social media alone is over."
