SC refuses SIT probe in Lt Col Purohit's torture

Malegaon Blast: The Bombay HC refuses to stay the framing of charges by a lower court against Lt Col Purohit and others. The HC also said that matter pertaining to validity of sanction for prosecution against Lt Col Purohit under Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act is to be decided by the trial court.

The Supreme Court refuses to entertain the petition filed by Lt Purohit seeking a SIT probe into his alleged abduction, torture in the 2008 Malegaon blast case. The Apex Court asked him to approach the trial court.
