Hashimpura case: All accused convicted, sentenced to life term

1987 Hashimpura mass murders case: The Delhi High Court sets aside the trial court judgement that had acquitted 16 Provincial Armed Constabulary officials. The court convicts all the accused, sentences them to life imprisonment. The court during pronouncement of the judgement observed, "This was a targetted killing by the armed forces. Members of the minority community were killed, families had to wait 31 years for justice."
