BJP, JD-U will contest equal number of seats in Bihar LS poll: Shah

The Bharatiya Janata Partyand the Janata Dal-United will contest an equal number of seats in the 2019 Lok Sabha elections in Bihar, BJP president Amit Shah said Friday.

"It has been decided that the BJP and the JD-U will fight on equal number of seats for the 2019 Lok Sabha election in Bihar," Shah told reporters after meeting Nitish.
   
Other NDA allies, including the Lok Janshakti Party and the Rashtriya Lok Samta Party, will get due representation in the seat sharing formula, Shah said.  
 
Addressing reporters along with Bihar chief minister and JD-U leader Nitish Kumar, Shah said the number of seats each ally will get will be announced in the next three-four days.
  
LJP chief Ram Vilas Paswan and RLSP leader Upendra Khushwaha are firmly with the NDA and their parties will get due representation in seat sharing, the BJP chief said.
