Mehbooba Mufti stakes claim to form government in Jammu-Kashmir

Former Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti says she will stake claim to form government in the state with support from the Congress and National Conference.

She has sent a letter to the Governor of the state saying that she has the support of the National Conference and the Congress.

The PDP has a current strength of 29 in the state assembly, while the NC has 15 and the Congress has 12, making their collective strength 56.
