UMEED 1000, a 1000-km cyclothon, was launched by RBL Bank as a CSR initiative in 2014, as part of which they have been supporting Udbhav School since then.

This year RBL Bank is supporting the IIMAAA Hyd Chapter Charitable Trust to build and support another underprivileged school in Fathehnagar that has been catering to the education needs of students coming from urban slums in the vicinity.

From November 30-December 10, the UMEED 1000 team will ride from Mumbai to Bangalore to raise awareness and funds for a new school with focus on girl child education.

And this is where you come in, by opening up your heart and wallet.

A simple donation of Rs 500 will sponsor the class topper to buy books of his or her choice; Rs 1000 will sponsor annual teaching learning aids and stationery costs for class 1 to 5 students; Rs 2500 will sponsor a set of Wikipedia books for the school library; Rs 5000 will sponsor a sanitary kit for a girl child, including sanitary pads as well as a puberty education and menstrual hygiene management instruction manual; and Rs 7500 will sponsor healthy, balanced and nutritious breakfast for a student for an entire year and help him/ her focus and perform better in classroom.

The process of donation is quite simple, the details are on https://giving.goodera.com/umeedcyclothon.
