Farmers forced to sell onions for as low as Rs 2/kilo in MP

Government has schemes galore, but do farmers really benefit? Onion farmers in Bhopal say they have no other option but to sell their produce at rates as low as Rs 2 per kilo to Rs 3 per kilo at the sabzi mandi. "Prices have dropped after a bumper crop produce. We don't know how much or when we'll get benefit under the Bhavantar Bhugtan Yojana.
