Actress Margot Kidder, who played Superman's Lois Lane, dies

Actress Margot Kidder has died aged 69, media reports say.

She was best known for her role as Lois Lane alongside Christopher Reeve in the Superman series of films in the 1970s and 80s.

A funeral home in Livingston, Montana, where the actress lived, said Kidder died at her home on Sunday, reports the BBC.

The Canadian-born actress was also a political and women's rights activist.

The cause of her death is not yet known.   -- Agencies
