Delhi Lieutenant Governor Anil Baijal writes to Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal requesting him to urgently meet the officers in the Secretariat so that apprehensions and concerns of both sides can be suitably addressed through a dialogue in the best interest of the people of Delhi, says a Raj Niwas press release.

After getting the L-G's letter, Kejriwal has ended his strike at the former's residence which was called against alleged strike of Indian Administrative Service officers in Delhi.

Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia and minister Satyendar Jain, who were on a hunger strike, said they would join work today after their release from the hospital.

Sisodia tweeted, 'Now everything is under control. If doctors allow I'll try to be back to work today only.'

Earlier in the day, the Supreme Court refused to urgently hear a petition that sought Kejriwal's protest be declared 'unconstitutional'. The court is currently on summer vacation and the vacation bench said 'we will list it on reopening of the court'.  -- ANI, Agencies
