Those of you wondering what actor Kamalahaasan has been up to, now that his friend and rival Rajinikanth seems to have stolen a political march over him, wait no longer.

The actor, who pens a column in popular Tamil magazine Ananda Vikatan, breaks his silence in its Pongal special -- but focuses on the RK Nagar bypoll, which was overwhelmingly won by TTV Dinakaran.

'They are praising him as a braveheart, for his win, that another leader is born, etc. Greater political analysts than me have hailed it as the dawn of a new era, the advent of Kalyug Vardhan, the Kalki avatar himself, that something that's never happened before has happened,' the actor, not known for pulling his verbal punches, fumes in his column, 'The storm centred in me'.

Apart from this, Kamalahaasan has also placed some uncomfortable questions arising out of Dinakaran's win before the reader, aside from disclosing why he has not been that active on Twitter of late, answering the criticism that he has sacrificed his political interests to cinema, and the next step in his political journey.
