Update on the Sridevi death story. Khaleej Times reports that the actress' body has left the Dubai morgue and is on its way to the embalming unit. Boney Kapoor's nephew Saurabh Malhotra was outside the morgue to collect the body and will be accompanying the ambulance carrying the body to the embalming centre.

Gulf News said that the Dubai Media office tweeted saying, "The Public Prosecutor's Office in Dubai has stated: 'The decision to release the body came after all the investigations and procedural matters followed in such incidents were completed, in order to determine all its circumstances and ensure that justice was done within the framework of the law'."

The Dubai public prosecutor's office has said the case is considered closed. The office said that actress died due to accidental drowning, the Gulf News reported.

Clearance letters to repatriate Sridevi's body to India had been handed over to Boney Kapoor's family and the Indian consulate clearing the way for the body to be released from the morgue in Dubai. The embalming process is expected to take anywhere between four and five hours and the body is expected to be flown to India tonight.
