Andhra, Telangana, MP, Rajashtan move fiscal year to Jan

Andhra Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu and Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao have in principle agreed to toe the Union Government's policy of advancing the presentation of state Budgets to the month of January every year. And also the change of financial years in the states from April to January.

In other words, both Andhra and Telangana will follow the calendar year and the state budgets will be presented in January.

BJP ruled states like Madhya Pradesh and Rajasthan have also decided to move the financial year to January from April.
