Cyber theft is the fastest growing crime in US: Trump

Observing that cyber theft is the fastest growing crime in the US, Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump today said that cyber security would be the top priority of his administration if he wins the general elections next month.

"Cyber theft is the fastest growing crime in the United States by far. As president, improving cyber security will be an immediate and top priority for my administration," Trump said at an election rally here, which is part of the Greater Washington DC area in Virginia.

"One of the very first things I will do is to order a thorough review of our cyber defences and weaknesses. We have very substantial weaknesses, including all vital infrastructures," the 70-year-old real estate tycoon said.

"Cyber-attacks from foreign governments, especially China, Russia, North Korea along with non-state terrorist actors and organised criminal groups constitute one of our most critical national security concerns," Trump said.
