Even as army and BSF jawans combed the area in Baramulla, Kashmir after being attacked by terrorists, Pakistani Rangers violated the ceasefire along the border in Gurdaspur, Punjab.

According to TV reports, the BSF post in Gurdaspur's Chakri village reportedly attacked by the Pakistani Rangers.

The ceasefire violations come just barely four days after India carried out surgical strikes across the Line of Control and took out seven terror launch pads in Pakistan-occupied Kashmir.

A day after the surgical strike, Pakistan had violated the ceasefire in Jammu-Kashmir's Akhnoor area where they carried out small arms and mortar shelling.

The firing along the Punjab border comes after Indian National Security Advisor Ajit Doval spoke to his Pakistani counterpart and agreed to reduce tensions on the LoC.
