SC extends Sahara chief's bail; asks to deposit Rs 600 cr

JUST IN: Supreme Court extends interim bail of Sahara Chief Subrata Roy till Feb 6, 2017.

The SC has directed Roy to deposit Rs 600 cr by February 6, 2017 for remaining out of jail.

If deposits are not made by Feb 6, Sahara chief will have to surrender, the SC has said.

The apex court has also asked Securities and Exchange Board of India and amicus curiae Shekhar Naphade to respond to the fresh repayment plan submitted in court by Roy.
