Ohio University shooting: Gunman shot dead by police

A gunman has reportedly died after a campus shooting in Ohio that left at least eight people injured.

Ohio State University sent a tweet to students warning them to "Run Hide Fight".

Hours later police declared the scene "secure" lifting the shelter-in-place order and cancelling classes for the remainder of Monday.

Local hospitals report that they are treating eight victims who have non-life-threatening injuries.

A motive is unclear for the attack at the Columbus-based university, which has 60,000 students and is one of the largest in the United States.
