So the meeting between PDP chief Mehbooba Mufti and PM Narendra Modi in New Delhi ends. Mehbooba says the meet was very positive. "It has been a positive meeting with the PM and I will go back to Srinagar and take the next step. A discussion with MLAs has been scheduled for Thursday," the PDP chief said.

Jammu and Kashmir is under governor's rule since the death of chief minister Mufti Mohammed Sayeed three months back. Mehbooba was in Delhi last week during which she held talks with BJP president Amit Shah, bur failed to end the stalemate. The BJP has said they are not willing to accept her conditions on government formation. During her last visit to the Delhi, she had failed to meet the Prime Minister fuelling speculation of a mid-term poll.

Yesterday, former J-K CM Omar Abdullah had met governor NN Vohra asking for mid-term polls.
