Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday was welcomed with chants of 'Bharat Mata ki Jai' at the inaugural of World Sufi Forum in New Delhi.

At the ceremony the PM said, "99 names for Allah, none of them stand for violence. Allah is Rahman and Rahim."

"The fight against terrorism is not a confrontation against any religion. It cannot be," said the PM

"All our people, Hindus, Muslims, Sikhs, Christians, Jains, Buddhists, Parsis, believers, non-believers, are an integral part of India," said Modi.

"Terrorists kill and destroy more in their own land and among their own people than they do elsewhere," PM Modi said.

"We must advance the message of Sufism that stands for the principle of Islam and highest human values," Modi added.

"It is also a battle must be won through strength of our values and real message of religions," PM Modi stated.

"Terrorism is not a conflict to be fought only through military, intelligence and diplomatic means," Modi added.

"Terrorism is a struggle between the values of humanism and forces of inhumanity," PM Narendra Modi said while addressing World Sufi Forum.
