India's first three women fighter pilots have been advised by the Indian Air Force to restrain from motherhood for the next four years so as not to adversely impact their ongoing training process.
However, IAF sources clarified that the advisory is not legal binding and is to ensure that their training does not get affected.
The three women pilots will be commissioned into the fighter stream on June 18 this year after successful completion of the initial training. Thereafter, they would undergo advanced training for one year and would enter a fighter cockpit by June 2017.
