Stabbing attack on German train leaves 20 injured; attacker shot dead

More than 20 people in Germany have been injured in a stabbing attack by a man with an axe and a knife on a train, German media reported.
Three of them are seriously injured, one lightly injured and 14 are in shock.
A police operation is under way in Heidingsfeld, part of the city of Wurzburg in Germany, a BBC report said.
A police spokesman at the scene said the attacker was shot dead while fleeing.
The train line between Wurzburg-Heidingsfeld and Ochsenfurt has been closed.
