Search operation along Tibri Cantt area continues

The search operation to flush out suspected terrorists, who were seen along the Tibri cantonment area in the district, continued for the tenth day today, police said.

Police, BSF and CRPF personnel conducted a joint operation, led by Station House Officer Kapil Kaushal, in Thanewal, Mustfabad, Bahian, Talwandi Virk, Alawalpur and Peer Di Sen village and the Tibri cantonment area, police said.

About 400 security personnel of police, CRPF and BSF participated in the search operation, he said.

Satnam Singh, a farmer of Pandher village, had claimed that he had seen two suspicious men in army fatigues on January 6 while a migrant labourer also claimed that he had sighted five suspected terrorists in Bahian village on January 10.
