Delhi's Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia today issued directions to terminate the service of a Deputy Education Officer for alleged financial irregularities and corruption.

The officer, during his tenure as a principal of a Government Sarvodaya Bal Vidyalaya between 2010-15, was allegedly involved in monetary irregularities, forgery and corruption, a senior Delhi government official said, adding "the charges have been established with proof."

There are allegations that the officer indulged in forgery of signatures to siphon off funds under the students welfare schemes and taking out medical reimbursements without the approval of the authorities and also misusing the LTA.
