Raghuram Rajan to bureaucrats: For a day, become aam aadmi

Reserve Bank of India Governor, Raghuram Rajan said that every senior official in the government should live one day like a common man without any assistants, and try to get one routine task done, so that they get a better sense of the scale of changes which are required in the country.

According to Rajan, most officials realise how complex the system is only after retirement, and an exercise like this will give them a much better sense of the changes required.
