Indo-Pak foreign secretaries meet begins, terror on agenda

Just in: Delhi: Pakistan Foreign Secretary Aizaz Ahmad Chaudhry reaches South Block to meet Foreign Secretary S Jaishankar. This is the first meeting after the Pathankot attacks. On the agenda is the plight of Indian nationals in Pak jails, the Pathankot probe, the reciprocal visit to Pakistan by the NIA, among others.


Four-and-a-half months after foreign ministers of India and Pakistan decided to restart the comprehensive bilateral dialogue process on the sidelines of the Heart of Asia ministerial conference in Islamabad, foreign secretaries of the two countries will meet today on the sidelines of the senior officials' meeting of the Heart of Asia process in New Delhi today.


Pakistan's foreign secretary Aizaz Ahmad Chaudhary arrived in New Delhi Tuesday morning, and attended the senior officials' meeting, followed by a bilateral meeting with foreign secretary S Jaishankar in the afternoon. The Heart of Asia conference (part of Istanbul process) is an annual meet on Afghanistan. The conference is being held in New Delhi this time.
